Our Orthodontists
In today's day and age, there is much uncertainty regarding healthcare information.
At our practice, you can be certain that our treatments are based on the best evidence-based research by our Orthodontists. Therefore, you can make treatment decisions for you and your family with confidence.

Dr Linda Ton
Dr Linda Ton was born and raised in Brisbane and graduated with first class honours from the University of Queensland Dental School in 2000. She practiced in Sydney for a few years before returning to Brisbane to continue her study. Linda completed her 3-year Masters Degree in Orthodontics at the University of Queensland in 2006 and also attained her Membership in Orthodontics, with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in the same year.
Linda and her three children enjoy all that North Queensland has to offer. They especially love exploring the region on frequent road trips. She loves cooking (and eating!), entertaining friends, reading, fishing and travel.
Linda loves her role as an orthodontist, loving nothing more than developing that connection between patient and practitioner.

Dr Desmond Ong
Desmond was born in Nambour and grew up on the Sunshine Coast, being lucky enough to have his high school formal at the Big Pineapple! Desmond completed his primary dental degree and subsequent specialist training in Orthodontics at the University of Queenland.
Desmond has worked in private practice and as a Clinical Academic in Orthodontics at the University of Queensland since 2006. Although his academic position involves a lot of travel and organisation, Desmond feels very honoured to be involved in the education of dental students and training new orthodontists.
Desmond has co-authored and published numerous peer-reviewed articles on a range of clinical techniques and emerging technologies.

Desmond is a devoted father to his 2 teenage daughters (Ally and Niki) and their beloved border collie Luna. Desmond is an avid follower of the NRL, particularly the Brisbane Broncos and the mighty Maroons. He also supports the Hawthorn Hawks (as he started watching AFL before the Brisbane Bears even existed!) and enjoys playing golf, pool and table tennis.

Dr Matthew Moore
Dr Matthew Moore was born and raised on a small property west of Toowoomba, where he developed his disdain for cold weather. Fortunately, he completed his primary dental degree at James Cook University, spending time at both the Cairns and Townsville campuses. During his studies, he fell in love with North Queensland! Following graduation, Matt worked across the Atherton Tablelands, before working for a number of years as the senior dentist based in Weipa and servicing the remote Cape York.
Dr Moore is a perfectionist and was inspired to undertake specialist training in orthodontics to ensure that he could provide the highest quality treatment to his patients. He subsequently completed the three-year full-time Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics program at the University of Queensland, which leads to registration as a Specialist Orthodontist. Matt is also certified by the Australian Orthodontic Board and is a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the Special Stream of Orthodontics.
Dr Moore's wife, Kate, grew up in Townsville and they have two young children. After working in specialist orthodontic private practice in Brisbane, the pull of family has brought them home to North Queensland. On the weekends, Matt enjoys spearfishing or camping with the family, embracing everything this magic part of the world has to offer.
